At the beginning there was nothing more than two friends, who wished to create something new. Although they started RIM from scratch, no capital or technical equipment whatsoever, in the 1991, their very first chair saw the light of the day.

Establishment of the company
Rudolf Fukal and Milan Nagy co-found the company RIM-CZ, s.r.o. and the first sample of an office chair KZ 911 sees the light of the day.
1993
A new headquarters + RIM SK
A new headquarters of the company is established in Otrokovice and in the same year the RIM SK branch is founded.
1999
RIM in Hungary
Establishment of a daughter company in Hungary.
2002
Orgatec
The first participation at the Orgatec fair in Cologne leads to the company’s breakthrough to the Western market.
2009
Manufacturing plant + showroom
Inauguration of a new manufacturing plant in Tlumačov and a showroom in Otrokovice.
2012
FLEXi collection
Introduction of a new office chair FLEXi which became a bestseller.
2013
Branch in Asia
Breakthrough to the world market is marked by creation of an independent office in Asia.
2019
Showroom in Prague
Inauguration of a new stylish showroom in Prague, designed by Vrtiška & Žák architects.
2020
RIM CZ, a.s.
Transformation in a joint-stock company. Martin Dorotík takes over the function of the executive director. Our founders from now on can dedicate more time to future visions and further direction of the company.
2021
30th anniversary
We celebrate our 30th anniversary, introduce a new logo and visual style and inaugurate newly reconstructed showroom in Otrokovice.
